Keith D. Karnes
Meet Keith Karnes, Attorney at Law
Keith Karnes has been helping people overcome their financial problems for more than 15 years. Keith is well versed in bankruptcy and bankruptcy law, but he also brings breadth to our firm with experience in foreclosure defense, tax issues, litigation and more. He’s lectured extensively on these topics for other lawyers, housing officials and lawmakers. He serves on several committees that work to protect consumers and homeowners. Keith has successfully won cases against some of the biggest names in the banking industry and can help businesses reorganize and restructure their debt. “When people come to me, they have a problem, and my favorite part of my job is sending my clients off from my office with their problems fixed. I love feeling I’ve helped, I’ve fixed the problem.”

From Ohio to Oregon
Keith grew up in a small farming community in Ohio, and he feels it gives him the perfect background to help small businesses and famers with their unique financial challenges. Both of his parents grew up on farms and he carried that farm roots work ethic with him to law school. It’s also where he learned to love sports, and the reason his favorite color is orange. “I’m a big sports fan, and most of my favorite teams’ colors are orange, starting with the Cleveland Browns.”
These days, instead of finding Keith at home on a farm you’ll probably find him kayaking on the river with his family. He loves spending time with them on the water. Keith has two children, but he and his wife Mary have also served as foster parents to many children and teenagers. “I feel like we’ve gotten to parent many, many kids and I’m really proud of that.”
